I don't typically make resolutions for New Year's because in the past when I have, it turns into being even more self critical than I already am..frustrated with whatever is "wrong with me" that I need to change. I do like the idea of asking God what He has in store for this next year, where He is leading me, though.
I don't usually make new year's resolutions either. I'm like Kasey and become very critical of myself and end of feeling guilty about it.
I'd like the next year to be whatever God wants it to be. I tend to do the things I want and make my own agenda instead of letting God be in control. I bet my year would be much better if I stuck to God's agenda.
