Why do you think that Eve really decided to take the forbidden fruit? Read Genesis 3:10. Do you ever find yourself hiding? If so, how do you tend to hide?

Why do we decide to anything that we know we shouldn't...because we're bored, we're lonely, we're always looking for something better than what we have. I can't imagine Eve thinking she needed something better or more than she had, but Satan has a way of twisting things to make them seem ok when they really aren't. I've done things that I knew before hand were wrong but the temptation was too great, the appeal of something better was too great. Unfortunately it's always better just the way it was!

When I want to hide, I tend to shut down and shut out everyone around me. I don't make phone calls or send emails. I pretty much mope around and throw a pity party and when asked if everythings ok, I lie and say "yes".
