Chapter 4, Wounded, A young girls heart and every woman's question...

>> Tuesday, April 28, 2009

What are the core questions that every little girl asks? How was your question answered when you were little? Do you remember a certian incident or messages that you somehow receieved that caused pain or wounded your heart? How did this change the way that you viewed yourself? Take some time to ask God how events in your life changed or shaped how you viewed yourself or your beliefs. (This can stay between you and God, if you prefer, but work through it with Him. Turn it over to Him.) Are you willing to consider that these messages are not true? What does the Father say instead? Ask Him!

As little girls we want to know that we are lovely. That we are cherished by someone, especially our daddys. I have to say that I grew up knowing this. My daddy was so good at cherishing me and letting me know how lovely I was. I know this is not true for everyone, but if we just take it all to God, He can make all things new!

Be encouraged that you are lovely and cherished, especially by our heavenly Father and the lover of our souls.

I want to share a few verses with those of you who may be feeling less than lovely and wonder if you will ever feel lovely.

"My lover spoke and said to me, Arise my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me. See! The winter is past the rains are over and gone."
Song of Solomon 2:10-11

"Listen, O daughter, consider and give ear; Forget your people and your father's house. The King is enthralled by your beauty. Honor him, for he is your Lord."
Psalm 45:10-11

"But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her there."
Hosea 2:14
