I think the thing that stood out most to me was just getting my priorities straight. The day I started reading this chapter, I had just gotten an email from our spouses club to see if I would take over as secretary. I already knew that my answer would be no, but God reaffirmed that when I opened the book and read the first couple pages. (I got a little chuckle out of that.)
I need to get my priorities straight. I often live my days concentrating mostly on my children. I will do them and myself a favor if I concentrate and give my whole heart to God.
I am sorry that I am just getting to post this week. Please fogive me!
I think that this chapter made me realize how much I miss having a more focused quiet time. It also made me realize how much I miss our life group at FOC and the close fellowship that we had there with the group. I am still trying to find my niche here and make new friends, but am having trouble finding my place and still feel a bit like an outsider at times.
