How has God called me to walk in my marriage?

I am called to work with my husband as a team, with a common goal to glorify God. I shouldn't become frustrated when my husband and think something should be done differently, or don't quite see things in the same light. Those things that soemtimes frustrate us about our spouses are things that we can pair with our own tendencies and gifts to better serve the Kingdom. "I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have recieved. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." We have a specific calling and it was in Father's plan that my husband and I work as a team in a humble, gentle and patient way, to fulfill that calling.

I agree with Kasey. I know that I should work with my husband as a team to glorify God. However, sometimes it is difficult for me to put my own ideas and plans aside. I should work side by side with my husband to glorify God and not try to make my own path.

The words "be humble and gentle" stood out to me. Also "be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love."

I am also reading "Sacred Marriage" and this week the chapter was on respect and honoring our spouses. God has really be convicting me of what it means to honor Jeff and respect him. I think being humble and gentle, patient and allowing for faults is all part of that. Rather than have a heart of contempt I need to have a heart of thankfulness in my marriage.
